RDF::Core 0.16 available
May 27, 2002
A new version of RDF::Core with a support for RDF Schema and other improvements and fixes is available for download.
There is a Perl RDF project, which consists of three main modules: infrastructure, publishing and converting. The infrastructure piece contains tools such as parsers and serializers, a SPARQL 1.1 implementation, RDF data validity testing, and an HTML, CSS Selectors toolkit.
The publishing piece allows for capabilities such as simple SPARQL 1.1 endpoint setup, support for authenticating FOAF+SSL, and WebID based access control lists.
The last piece, convert, allows for reading and writing RDFa in host languages such as XHTML, conversion between Atom 1.0 / AtomOwl vocab, vCard 3.0 / W3C RDF vCard vocab, and iCalendar / W3C RDF iCalendar vocab.
Perl RDF has the following four goals: create an API for storing, parsing and serializing modules, create a set of classes to represent common RDF objects, create patches for existing RDF tools to meet changes as needed, and create a set of testers.
