GA-MMA is a component of GA-CMP. It is a flexible data storage and meta-data management tool that enables the consolidated storage of multi media content. Any data formats can be stored and accessed by GA-CMP or another attached management platform. It is optimized for managing content with multiple formats / versions to be delivered to multiple targets e.g. Internet applications, mobile devices or third party platforms.
The costs associated from the time-to-value, management and the physical storage of digital content are increasing rapidly due to the increasing volume and complexity.
There are multiple partners involved in content creation and it is necessary to be to store content and manage its Meta-data, both locally and remotely. Similarly 3rd party content must be accessed externally and in real time. Content management is based on the ability to add meta-data attributes then managing the physical files based on the attributes.
Multiple versions, physical formats and brands of each content item required as well as multiple languages for meta-data. The resulting flexibility and structure has to save time and help to ensure consistency in the management, processing and delivery of the content; and as the result provide the end user with the best possible experience.
GA-MMA is a flexible, robust scalable and proven multi media archive. The main components are:

The word “Metadata” is derived from the Greek word “Meta” meaning “Over” and the Latin word “Data” meaning information. Thus, Metadata is information or the attributes that describe the services or content.
Meta-data attributes are defined over the flat structure of the content storage. GA-MMA uses a flexible data model to describe the complex logic of the content.
By default meta-data is used for describing:
In addition application using GA-MMA can define any number meta-data attributes and use them for internal purposes. Typical uses for such extensions are:
Content files can be stored by GA-MMA internally or can be embedded to this component from an external data store. Typically are content files located in the server file system, relational database or are provided trough web services from various Internet sources. As a result any data imported to the platform can be used together with data shared from external platforms.
GA-MMA content storage provides:
